Smart OBM is a feature of the Telematics Monitoring Application (TMA) that collects mass data from on-board weighing systems in trucks and trailers. The TMA program, part of the National Telematics Framework (NTF) and managed by Transport Certification Australia (TCA), provides road managers and authorities with tools to enhance road access, compliance management, and closely monitor infrastructure performance.
Schemes define common rulesets for a specific vehicle type or freight activity where Regulatory Telematics is applied. Generally these schemes apply to specific notices, permits, or a combination of both.
Enrolment in a scheme is the final acknowledgement that a transport operator is meeting the Regulatory Telematics conditions as required. When enrolment is complete, you'll receive a TMA certificate.
