About the Scheme:

The Department of Transport and Planning (DTP), Victoria, introduces the TMA High Productivity Freight Vehicle Monitoring Schemes (VIC), designed to authorize the movement of eligible high productivity freight vehicles (HPFVs) on approved routes within the Victorian road network. The implementation of these monitoring schemes aims to enhance freight transportation efficiency by allowing larger vehicles, thereby reducing transportation costs and improving overall productivity.

Operate High Productivity Freight Vehicles (HPFVs) / Performance Based Standards (PBS) vehicles in Victoria.

Regulatory Telematics Requirements:

PBS Combinations > 26m require TMA.

PBS Combinations > 68.5t GCM require TMA + Smart OBM.

PBS quad-axle or split-axle semitrailers require TMA.

PBS quad-axle semitrailers > 46t GCM require TMA + Smart OBM.

PBS split-axle semitrailers > 43.5t GCM require TMA + Smart OBM.
