About the Scheme:

The New South Wales Class 3 Port Botany Container Transportation Mass Exemption Notice 2019 (the Notice) allows eligible heavy vehicles carrying over-mass freight containers to operate above General Mass Limits (GML). This concession only applies when transporting standard shipping containers from an approved Stevedore Terminal to an approved Container Freight Station (CFS) along an approved route, and in compliance with the conditions of the Notice and Guide.

Benefits of the Scheme:

Specific road access at up to Concessional Mass Limits (CML) without the need for a NHVAS Mass Management Accreditation.

Regulatory Telematics Requirements:

RIM is required for all eligible vehicles of this scheme.

Eligible Vehicles:

Eligible vehicles include rigid trucks, prime mover and semitrailer combinations up to 19m, and B-doubles up to 26m.
