TMA Hill Descent Monitoring – Greenmount Hill Scheme (WA)
Hill Descent Monitoring Scheme - Roelands Hill
Required for AB-triples with tri-axle groups operating at CML on Roelands Hill
The Roelands Hill scheme is administered by Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA) to monitor:
- the estimated speed of Category 7 (A) AB-Triples operating under permit on part of the MRWA road network, namely Roelands Hill (the permit to operate is related to this section of road only; any other permits that vehicles operate under are not monitored by this scheme)
- whether enrolled vehicles stop for a sufficient period before descending Roelands Hill
- whether enrolled vehicles exceed the 40 km/h speed limit when descending Roelands Hill
Hill Descent Monitoring – Greenmount Hill Scheme
The Hill Descent Monitoring – Greenmount Hill Scheme is a scheme administered by Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA) to monitor:
- The estimated speed of vehicles on the National PBS Level 2B Scheme operating under permit on part of the MRWA road network, namely Greenmount Hill (noting the permit to operate will be related to this section of road only, and any other permits that vehicles operate under are considered separately);
- whether enrolled vehicles stop for a sufficient period prior to descending Greenmount Hill; and.
- whether enrolled vehicles exceed the 40 km/h speed limit when descending Greenmount Hill.
Hill Descent Monitoring Scheme - Lesmurdie Hill
The Hill Descent Monitoring – Lesmurdie Hill Scheme is a scheme administered by Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA) to monitor:
- the estimated speed of vehicles on the National PBS Level 2B Scheme operating under permit on part of the MRWA road network, namely Lesmurdie Hill (noting the permit to operate will be related to this section of road only, and any other permits that vehicles operate under are considered separately);
- whether enrolled vehicles stop for a sufficient period prior to descending Lesmurdie Hill; and.
- whether enrolled vehicles exceed the 40 km/h speed limit when descending Lesmurdie Hill.
Eligible vehicles will be enrolled in the scheme on a case-by-case basis. The trial period is expected to run for up to 12 months.
Hill Descent Monitoring Scheme - Mount Ousley
The Mount Ousley scheme is administered by Transport for NSW (TfNSW) to monitor:
- the estimated speed of A-Double combinations (prime mover, semi-trailer towing a 5 or 6 axle dog trailer) operating under permit on part of the TfNSW road network, namely Mount Ousley (noting the permit to operate will be related to this section of road only, and any other permits that these vehicles operate under are not monitored by this scheme)
- conformance with the 40 km/h speed limit when descending Mount Ousley.
